This is an original abstract painting inspired by the dramatic interior of a cave in China. I was drawn to the intensity of colour, light, and movement, and developed the work through layers of paint to capture its energy and scale.

Underground caves in Australia are usually lit with subtle and natural colour. This cave in China was amazing — a very large, multi-cavernous space with brilliantly coloured lighting and writhing shapes throughout. It’s not my usual subject matter, but I felt compelled to paint the drama of it.

This artwork is a real eye-catcher and works beautifully as a statement piece in a space that needs energy, movement, and strong colour.

I can ship this painting worldwide, securely rolled in a mailing tube. For most artworks and locations, this is included in the price and is the most economical way to purchase the work.

As the painting is already stretched, it can be easily re-stretched by your local framer and prepared for hanging.
