This abstract landscape with layered light tones was inspired by an acquaintance of mine. He very impressively moved to Papua New Guinea and with his wife and new baby, lived in a hut with a dirt floor, and proceeded to build a bridge building business which moved from tentative beginnings to a wildly successful business where he built many many bridges, entirely transforming the Country's transport system. In my quirky mind this painting looks like a tropical country where Robin has built his sturdy metal bridges over every conceivable waterway!
But like most abstract artworks, you see what you see. I see a waterway with numerous bridges! BUT don't let that influence your own experience.... In fact, this painting looks interesting whichever way up you hang it!
