Even I think this is a very quirky painting. I thought it was going to be a completely random abstract work, and I started with the canvas upside down (not unusual). But it ended up being a self portrait although I acknowledge you need to look at it for quite a while to 'get' it! There's a lot to see and appreciate in the colour harmonies, composition and content of this work if you have a sense of humour ...... Still, it was a finalist in the 2024 Noosa Art Prize, so I'm not the only one who likes it.
I like the way the artwork takes your eyes through the interesting shapes, colours and swirling lines, and then suddenly you come across a slice of toast with a sardine on it, or a tin of sardines, a cup of coffee or, , a portrait of an artist with wild curly white hair!
You will find the print on this website under Prints - Abstracts. You can have a larger size than the original artwork, which suits larger homes, and because prints are much cheaper than the original, but still have the same WOW factor, you can get a lot more "bang for your buck" when you are buying art. These are such high quality prints that most people can not even tell that it is not the original! For more information about this option, please see the print itself and go over to my FAQ for more information.
